The shows take place at the Freeport Recreation Center which is conveniently located on Merrick Road, 1/4 mile west of the Merrick/Freeport border. It is a stone's throw from Freeport's water front with its busy marinas, and its' famous Freeport "Nautical Mile", featuring dozens of restaurants, and alluring shops.
With the annual Tucson extravaganza recently completed, our vendors are anxious to present their new merchandise, and new original creations to you at our April, August and October shows.
Each of the Freeport shows has a different mix of vendors, with new vendors being added all of the time. There are usually about 27-28 vendors at each show.   The upcoming April, 2012 show (which is the 36th Annual Spring Show) has two new vendors who are presenting on Long Island for the first time.
 
The theme of the Freeport Gem and Mineral Shows has always been "products produced by mother earth". Our vendors include the finest mineral and fossil dealers to exhibit on Long Island. Our gemstone and jewelry vendors offer rare loose gemstones, as well as finished jewelry items ranging from high-end precious gemstones set in platinum and gold, to more affordable silver pieces. Much of the jewelry is handmade, and you can meet the designers who will be happy to discuss their work with you. And our bead dealers offer the widest variety, and finest quality beads available anywhere.

Admission is $5.50 for adults, but mention to the cashier that you saw this on the KGS web site and get $.50 off. Children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are free.
